Description
I have some .OGM files with an odd playback crash.
- Near the end of the .OGM video, Showtime will stop and display an error:
file://[PATH TO CURRENTLY PLAYING VIDEO FILE] Unable to start video playback libav error -5
I have attached a sample that will display the error almost instantly. Longer samples (~20 minutes) will only crash at about 90% playback. So, the problem appears to happen near the end of .OGM files. I tested this sample from the PS3 internal HDD prior to submitting it here.
If the .OGM is remuxed to .MKV, then Showtime will play the file without crashing.
----------
I don't think .OGM was ever an official standard, but it does play fine in VLC player.
Associated revisions
videoplayback: If we get an error during playback wait until buffers are empty before we exit.
This seems to happen for OGM by default
