Cannot find a dependency in synaptic

Added by Sumeet Suresh over 10 years ago

Output with ./configure

@Configuring for Linux environment

Using libavformat: 52.64.2
Using libavutil: 50.15.1

Using libXext: 1.1.2
Using GLW Frontend: x11

glw-x11: Missing OpenGL include file GL/gl.h
configure with --disable-glw-x11 to skip this [email protected]

I cannot find "glw-x11" in package manager.

Also configuring with "--disable-glw-x11" doesn't work
Configuring for Linux environment
Invalid option: --disable-glw-x11

Am I doing anything wrong here?

The error message from configure is a bit wrong i think. There is no such thing as --disble-glw-x11 (and you don't want to do that anyway because then you wont have a UI)

On debian i think the package is called opengl-mesa-dev or something like that.

Thanks.

Installed mesa-common-dev followed by libgl1-mesa-dev.

Works now :)

configure went well, now getting an error during compile time

/home/linux/showtime/src/ui/glw/glw_x11.c:34: fatal error: GL/glu.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [build.linux/src/ui/glw/glw_x11.o] Error 1

RE: Cannot find a dependency in synaptic - Added by Sumeet Suresh over 10 years ago

removed "#include <GL/glu.h>" from "showtime/src/ui/glw/glw_x11.c"

Compile successful, will removing this create any problems?

No, it's an old leftover. I've removed it from the GIT repo as well.
