Also I don't know if the "generic media receiver" is the best choise for showtime....first I tried "WDTVLLive" but the images was pixeled (music and video worked fine...), and then I tried "generic media receiver" and I seen that worked good.
I don't know the difference of Twonkymediaserver behaviour about on this parameter....

andreas it's cool that with the last update showtime automatically shows up subs, but it would be really usefull if could detect subs and show up, subs with same name...
i mean
if there are in the folder
movie.avi
movie.srt
movie2.avi
movie2.srt
showtime loads for both avis the movie.srt
any updates for the aspect ratio fix?

Ok I changed this on another request but i think i know how to correctly deal with it.
- If a .srt with the same name is found as the movie, then only select that one
- Otherwise, make all other .srt available as selectable subs.
Is that ok?
I'm also gonna fix the presentation of the subs so it's easier to understand where they are from (show filenames, etc)
showtime loads for both avis the movie.srt
any updates for the aspect ratio fix?
If you by that mean that the video always should fill the screen, then yes, i'm working on that right now.

I dont' liek that in new versions subtitles go inside movies area and can't take down in black bar area. So I'm still on old version. Can this be include in some next new version?

Yeah, I don't like it myself either but it kinda turned out this way when I rewrote much of the subtitle code.
I'm working on fixing this.

I keep checking this post for latest revisions but the pkg files have stopped being added to this post.
How long does it take to produce a pkg file? I can understand if it takes some time.
I'd like to keep up to date if possible. Thanks.
Lastly I know people keep mentioning this but I can't wait for artwork for movies!! Mainly as my 4 year old can select what film he wants to watch by himself by looking at the cover rather than keeping asking me what film it is as he can't read! Hahaha! Seriously though, it will a great day when it happens and definately worth waiting for!
Thanks for all the work done so far!
I'm still getting black screen with audio for Quicktime/Mpg4 jpg2000 files. I'll try and get a file to upload.

actually it doesn't take much time to build the pkg files but it's quite hard for me to write a comment, so sometimes i just add files to existing posts. this doesn't show up as a new entry, so maybe you missed an update. anyway, here is the latest build. at the moment i check out some things so i can provide you a link where you allways can find the latest build.
edit:
forgot to mention its ver 2.99.416.g1ec2c
showtime_ps3.zip (7.83 MB)
showtime_ps3.zip - ver 2.99.431.g736c1 (7.84 MB)
showtime_ps3.zip - ver 2.99.444.g9d686 (7.85 MB)

changed my build-script a little bit, now you can get the .pkg files from these links:
http://www.jaensch-koloska.de/maximilian/ps3/showtime/showtime.zip >>this should work on 3.41,waninkoko and kmeaw cfw
http://www.jaensch-koloska.de/maximilian/ps3/showtime/showtimegh.zip >>this should work on gehot cfw
same files i uploaded here at the moment, if there's a new version i'll change the files on my site, the links will stay the same.
i'm not online 24hrs every day maybe it takes a little time for me to notice there's a new version. if you download and it's still the old version try to download it again a little bit later.

Do you think you could compile the .self version also, like on the official download area?
The .self is a special version that can be integrated into other PS3 homebrew apps (as far as I know, only MultiMAN supports using it).
The current .self available (2.99.401) does not include the feature of making all videos fullscreen.
This is not really a huge deal, since I can just wait for Dean (author of MultiMAN) to release an updated .self but it would be nice to have it now since it has an important feature
PS: Tanks Max for the updated .pkg anyway :p

Hi,
I'm going to upload the .self file when I have a working one. Tried a few things to get it working with MultiMan but allways just kicks me back to the XMB when I start Showtime. Don't know what else to try.

Just to let you guys know. I do most of the development with Showtime targeted for Linux so from time to time the ps3 target may not work or not even build correctly.
