Why not make this optional? I like using my remote and controlling Showtime via HDMI-CEC. I seriously have to have my PS3 controller in order to exit?

Gonna downgrade for now I guess, hope this gets added back.

In fact, why not a direct shutdown from Showtime? Is this possible? I find it annoying having to wait the extra ~7 seconds for Showtime to close and XMB to reload.

How do you open the MENU with CEC? Is this implemented? I can move around (up,down,left,right), select, back, play, pause, stop... but I can't get to the MENU. I always need to pick the PS3 Bluray Remote for this. Is this an issue with my TV remote, or this option is not working in Showtime?

What tv model/brand. Do you use? To see menu button code turn on cec debug in settings:dev.

I have a LG 42lb650v.

In settings:dev enable CEC debug.
And after that - press MENU on remote multiple times so we clearly see what code the button has. And report with the log.

Hmm, you have ps3 while I thought about RPi. Looks like we need Andoma's answer...

Should be easy enough to fix, just file a ticket or I will forget about it.
