Official builds are working just fine for me.

Try showtime-3.5.128-g8a7860d.pkg

The one with "gh" in it is only needed if you use the geohot cfw.

Also, try uninstalling other versions before installing the new one.

Well I did try all my options. Removed the previous installed version and then installed Official build. Not working. Only squirrel builds working for me strangely!

And yes, do know that the -gh version is not needed. But somehow things not looking good for me.

The update process is very daunting for me now. Not sure whats different from a squirrel build and Andreas build.

The pkg installs properly, but once i run the app, it falls back to the XMB.

A log file doesnt seem to be there in this location. I can see only .self and .boot file for showtime.

May I ask what Custom Firmware you have installed, and what model your PS3 is?

I'm personally using CobraCFW v3.55 with a FAT 80GB model that has partial PS2 compatibility.

Also, is your BluRay drive broken or missing? Damaged or missing Bluray Drive can cause an incompatibility with running some homebrew.

I've a 3.55 with the original geohot kernel

I've the 3.55+Kmeaw firmware on a FAT 120G Model.

I have all my homebrew running well. I still can run all homebrew and all squirrel showtime builds.

Off lately, its only the official builds thats crapping up. I was able to install one .17x build previously by deleting and then installing it. But the recent .210 build is again just not running either after installing, or manually copying through ftp.

Blu-ray drive should be working. I can see my Disc in it for playback.

(Note: I have a LV2 patch that needs to be run before running any Game ISO from HDD. But this is again the same as before and should not affect launching showtime)

Getting the error : " An error occured during the start operation. (80010017) "

i'm using 3.55 kmeaw on slim ps3, just tried official build 3.5.212 and it works without problems. the error you get means cannot load game data, usually caused by a broken or dirty bd-drive. in your case it is most likely caused by a defective filesystem on your hdd, so:
boot into safemode and try filesystem recovery or install a different version of showtime, e. g.: http://jaensch-koloska.de/maximilian/showtime/showtime.zip (3.5.215 at the moment)
if this is not working you'll need to format your hdd and reinstall firmware and everything else.

was able to install show time now. I installed multiman, and then installed show time. Now everything is loading.

Some weird error, but glad to see show time running. Ps3 is a waste without it :-)
