BluRays and DVDs won't play

Hello, I'm running the latest version of Movian on my ps3 and also have installed Movian disc access but I cannot get the app to play DVDs or BluRays. The screen goes black and I get a message saying "dvdnav: unable to open dvd". The drive itself works fine and I can launch the DVD and Blu-rays from the XMB. I'm wondering if this is just an issue with my ps3 or if I need to download another plug in/ change settings. Thanks for any help on advance I love the app!

TBH I'm not sure really. I didn't write the Movian disc access (deank did).

Fixing this is really low on my todo-list

In particular since the drive on my ps3 is broken.

I'm pretty sure Movian disc access, is so you can insert Data cd & dvd, and copy and paste music, pics and media etc. It doesnt mean its a DVD and blue ray player. I dont think theres any issue... Try a data dvd in there and boot disc access. I tried it once and it works.

I want to play divx movies from DVD disc in Movian/showtime but it won't play them and instead I just get "Not owner" message, while it will play the same movie from usb stick. Is there anything I can do?

Also is there a way to change size in subtitles and color and add a background or am I stuck with small while subtitles?

It would be nice if there was a possibility if movian would be able to play a dvd or a bluray directly (I think the latter will certainly be more difficult), but it would be very nice if it would also support movable subtitles and some form of loading external subtitles then.
I have so many dvd's/bluray's which have the subtitles half in the active image and half in the black bar, when I want it fully in the active picture. And I also have a lot of dvd's which just don't have dutch subtitles or normal English ones.
Hmmm. is there actually a function in Movian to automatically not play HoH stuff in an HoH subtitle? I normally use Subedit to remove them, but it would be nice if movian could do it itself.

Alternatively, you can convert DVD to MKV or MP4. MakeMKV supports copying DVDs and convert them to MKV videos:[[http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/makemkv.html]]
